Who We Are.

Established in 1992, Physio-Logic is a group of dedicated Bobath-trained neurological physiotherapists, musculoskeletal physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals who understand complex neurological conditions, polytrauma, and rehabilitation. We combine our knowledge of neuroplasticity, motor learning, and skilled manual facilitation to help you achieve recovery of movement and function.

What We Do.

Neurological Physiotherapy Toronto

Neurological Physiotherapy

The Bobath Concept is the most widely used treatment methodology worldwide for the assessment and treatment of individuals with neurological conditions. All of our physiotherapists are Bobath Certified therapists with extensive experience in the treatment of spinal cord injuries, stroke, multiple sclerosis, traumatic/acquired brain injuries, Guillain Barre syndrome and many other neurological conditions.

Pilates

Pilates is a form of exercise with a particular emphasis on training the muscles that make up the body’s core systems of support. These core systems provide structural integrity to the joints and allow for efficient body movements, improved flexibility, coordination, postural alignment, balance, strength, and body awareness.

Our dual certified pilates instructor and registered kinesiologist provides private one-on-one sessions that utilizes specialized Pilates equipment such as the Reformer/Tower combo, spine corrector, arc barrel and Stability chair.

Dr. Shawn Meirovici Naturopathic Medicine Neurological Conditions

Naturopathic Medicine

Naturopathic medicine can be helpful in the rehabilitation of neurological injuries and conditions by addressing the foundations of health such as nutrition, sleep and mood, while also targeting the symptoms associated with neurological conditions like pain, spasm, weakness, gastrointestinal issues and fatigue.

Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy

Musculoskeletal physiotherapy helps to restore normal body function and prevent disability arising from disease, trauma, injury, repetitive strain, or age-related disorders. They use a number of different techniques, including exercise, hands-on treatment, technology, equipment and education to treat patients.

Assistant Therapy/Kinesiology

Our support personnel not only provide extra assistance during physiotherapy sessions but are also able to work independently with you to conduct a supervised exercise program that may involve stretching, strengthening, mobilization and cardiovascular training. They work in collaboration with your physiotherapist to design and implement an active program to meet your rehabilitation goals either in clinic, at home, or in a gym setting.

Registered Massage Therapy

Massage therapy involves hands-on mobilization of superficial and deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue using various techniques to enhance function, reduce muscle spasms and tension, increase circulation, promote healing, mobilize scar tissue and muscle adhesions, and decrease pain.

Custom Made Braces/Orthotics

We work closely with the experienced orthotists at Back2Feet to provide our patients with custom-made orthotics, braces, splints or assistive technology/robotics to provide postural support and maximize their movement potential. Orthotist consultations can occur on-site.

ADP Authorized Assessments

The Assistive Devices Program (ADP) through the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care provides funding support for assistive devices to Ontario residents who have long-term physical disabilities. Our register ADP authorizer will assess your specific needs and determine your eligibility for the appropriate seating and mobility devices to increase independence.

Neuroplasticity refers to the lifelong capacity of the brain to change and rewire itself in response to the stimulation of learning and experience.
